Seal order - repacking loader lift cylinder 1400B

Post #1 by ekmoor » Sat Jun 17, 2023 7:41 pm

Repacking my 3cx (1400B) 1987 yr lift cylinder and the seal for the gland cap were destroyed. I can not figure out the gland cap seal order for the inner seal area. My set does not have a new wear ring (pic 3) but has two seals for the inner gland. Any idea on the order and orientation of the seals?
Thanks for the help....

Pretty sure your yellow seal is correct for inside the gland nut (o-ring toward the piston).

the seal with the o rings is the outer most seal (with o-ring toward piston). its the order of the other two rings....call it wear ring in pic three. is that the final seal ring towards piston with the black seal in the middle?

I'll bow out in that case. Mine is a P8 (10y newer) and the seal arrangements are quite different - certainly no wear ring in the gland.

Rookie mistake....the seal carrier was stuck together with the cylinder rod stabilizer. Once apart, it was evident the correct seal and guide location.
Back together and leak free.
