New to me JCB
Hi guys just collected my new to me JCB 2 the owner told me it was ex mod no plates paperwork or chassis plate can anyone tell me more about it confirm the model ect also how do I go about asking JCB for help identifying it has anyone done that before, thanks in advance adding pics now

I guess it is an early 2, I did think the 2s had a 3 cyl. The exposed filter, shape of the loader arms and mud guards make it an early one to me. The Nuffield skid was not used until about 1964/65.

No it's a four cylinder it's the first JCB I have ever owned so I know nothing about them but I am a mechanic so I know the engine layout just seems a bit odd like you say

The slew pots are different (I think).
Unfortunately I don't have much info on the early JCB backhoe loaders.
