Hi, thank you all for the feedback. The head was completely overhauled and skimmed in 2011. It looked ok. I measured the standing height again, but couldn`t find any problems with that. We saw a difference in the head gasket, maybe the new one is better. We cleaned all up and put it back together. With new oil in the injection pump and adjusting the valves the machine runs very smoothly. We did put in a new water pump, just to be sure. We`ll see if the head gasket will hold.

Attached some pics. Thanks for the help and input again.

Hi Tobias, just to dig this up.
Did your new gasket come with instructions as to which way up it should be? Because the one I unpacked today did, and that stated that the face of the inner 8 shape with two segments should go down, and the one with 3 segments upwards. In your shot it looks like the two segments of the gasket face upwards.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes the instructions on the new gasket where very accurate. I think in the picture the position was not final. So it could easily be wrong in the picutre, but when we put it together it was correct.

The machine runs smoothly since then. Today we worked a lot and the water temperature was around 80 degree. So long all fine.
