Window Rubber Seal

Post #1 by mikefoxo » Thu Jan 24, 2019 10:26 pm

I need to put a new windscreen into my Dads JCB 3MkII. The current one is perspex and I think I'll do the same again. I'm trying to find the right type of rubber seal to go in. It's one of those where you fit it all in place and then thread a rubber bead into the seal, all the way around. Did a quick google and there seems to be dozens to choose from :dizzy: Anybody know which is the right one? The perspex is about 4mm if that helps. Hoping to just buy a big length of it and do the others as time allows. Thanks

If the cab structure is sound I would price up having some glass cut and even fitted. Perspex or more likely polycarbonate is not too bad in side or rear window, sometimes likely to survive better than glass. The problem with the plastics is they tend to scratch easily and also go a little opaque.
