What Sort Of Hydraulic Oil?
Doing a few small jobs on the old 3MkII. She probably needs a fair bit of oil too. JCB have a place not too far away and we've gotten the branded oil up to now. If I remember rightly it's been about €50 for a 20l drum. Is that expensive? It is when you've a lot to put in What grade or brand of oil would people recommend?

On your machine i would use 46 grade hydraulic oil i think you are about right on price a 20 litre drum is around the £40 mark. Have a look on ebay sometime you can get a good deal with free delivery.

Hello, i'm not sure if you are just topping up the hydraulic fluid or replacing it. If you are replacing the fluid then it holds 195 litres!!
I've found if the machine has a few leaks then topping it up with just 20L does nothing! Last top up took 60L to bring it upto the bottom of the level tube!
