JCB 3CX grey cab head lining advice

On with tidying the cab interior of my 3cx. The head cloth had sagged completely due to three little holes in the cab roof where, I pressume a beacon was once fitted. Rain over the years has eventually destroyed the rigid card board backing for the head lining. I have separated the foam backed head lining from the cardboard. Are these available as a kit? Or would I need to buy a wardrobe from ikea to get enough cardboard to make a new one? or, has anyone tried making a new backing from hardboard? All ideas welcomed

Perhaps buy a sheet of hard board and use a contact adhesive. Will need to be a good adhesive as the roof will get hot and some let down in heat.

I have a 3cx witch iv just bought and there is no headlining what so ever. Was thinking of buying some soft sponge maybe 150mm thick then cutting to size then gluing some headliner material to it then installing some how?

Im also not to sure on how will do this so any more advice here would be cool

Gethin I think EVO 528 would probably hold a cab roof lining in you could do a test on a small piece of metal first; let us know how you get on?

Sikaflex or something similar , it would never come back off though
You will get it in most boat places

Yes Iv used sikaflex before on a few jobs! Nothing to do with JCB but would be a good one to use.
Maybe sticking a strip of playwood (3” wide) to the roof instead of the howl roof. And then sticking some foam to a sheet of playwood that’s been covert with head liner and sticking it to the 3” strips!!
