IH 3434 Front Loader

Post #1 by internationalgeo » Thu Mar 30, 2017 8:13 pm

Looking for advice what hydraulic fluid is best for IH 3434 it is separate closed system.
Was given 20 litres of iso 32 with tractor when I bought it have since drained the system
as it was milky needs about 55 litres so if iso 32 is ok will only have to buy 2x 20 litres.
any help will be welcomed.

George.

I would think an older machine say pre 80's would use 46 grade hydraulic oil.

I would think that the newness has worn off your machine by now so it will probably perform better on the higher viscosity 46 grade anyway.
It will certainly do no harm.

Thanks Fred for that, I was a bit inpatient I put the iso 32 in spun engine over (not started) just to get oil circulated as was a complete strip down
if I now put another 40 litres of iso 46 would that be ok or should re drain system. This is not a work loader just something I am doing up as a hobby.

No expert but I don't think it will be a problem to mix the grades as long as the sytwm is clean as possible and water free.
