Hi,
Does anyone have an idea where any manuals would be for this series of machine (after finding that serial numbers is what to go from): 300000-400000 series? (year 1987).
A working fuel gauge would be a nice to have
Many thanks

If you have a look in the downloads section on here, the eighth one down in JCB should be the one to read. Had a quick look myself and it suggests that if the gauge itself is at fault, the whole cluster would need replaced, although you could add an independant gauge as an afterfit. I would assume the sender unit to be in the same place as the earlier white cab which is to the left and under the dash. If you can get to it and remove the wire and earth it to the body, the gauge should rise.If it does, the sender will be at fault.Maybe a hole in the float? If the gauge doesn't lift, there may be a break in the wire from the sender to it or indeed a faulty gauge.

Thanks for the reply, I will have a look for that one then. And yes makes sense about the float, with a bit of luck the wires will be ok, I shall have a look when I get chance and upload how I did it if it can be fixed.
