i just put a replacment crankshaft with new bigends and mains regound the valves etc had it fired up yesterday and sound find with good oil presure

well as i thought the cab need a full rebuild so i have now taken it off so ill remove and rebuild the dash and electrics check the brakes while i have the floor plates up repaint the gearbox /axle repair the door side wing top etc and does anyone know where i can get some cab glass as thers not a good pane in it. i will take some more pics soon .

Sounds like your getting stuck right into it
the cab glass would all be flat glass I would have thought if so any windscreen place should be able to cut the bits out you need for not much money

just a couple of pics of progress slow but sure
rear wheels now removed and some time cleaning and painting. looks much better! the pressed metal 3c badges are a bit worse for rot will have to try to replace or repair.

well its been a while since i posted any pics but been quite busy all the same so ive put some new pics on showingthe replacement front axle and the work on rebuilding the cab which is finished now with the paint work done rooflining fitted and the (another genuine JCB sticker ) (made by my son ) attached. rebilt dash back in and all electrics in and working , back hoe as had a quick coat of paint bonnet is now back on just leaving the front loader to do .

Looking good Roland :thumbup: but I must say unless its just the photograph your track rod looks slightly bent to me?

yes theres a slight bend in the rod but i dont think it will be a problem its been very difficult to find any replacment track rod ends but i managed to get this complete tracrod with the ends allready on and they seem pretty good . i do think the photo does make it look more bent than it is though
