Re: Anyone got a JCB 2BII?
Hi Christopher,i have a 2b mk1 1968 I think, which has the 3 cylinder bmc / Nuffield. the front and rear work lights are round instead of rectangular and the dipper is slightly different but it looks very similar. The pto was an option which mine does not have (sadly).
That article looks interesting, there are not many pictures or write ups on the 2b's !
I cant seem to post a pic of mine, its running at the moment but hopefully I will be starting work on it later this year if I can get it under cover.

Hi the JCB 2B11 was manufactured from 1968 to 1970 when it was replaced by the 2D11 which was the same machine but fitted with same 4 cylinder skid unit used in the 3C11

Re: Anyone got a JCB 2BII?
Thanks guys.
that article I read in the classic plant magazine said the 2bii was made from 1968 to 76.
I am pretty sure I have found a 2Bii. it has the 3 cylinder engine and the tractor rear lift. Back actor the same as the one in the above article but has no cab. Will be going back soon to have another look at it.
I might also know of a 2d or 3CII. ive only seen the back of it so not sure exactly what it is.
2D?
2bii?

I thought the 2D replaced the 2B in early 70s and this had a fixed backhoe as little demand for the removable one.
But may be wrong

No idea XS650.
I just found this old article in Classic Plant magazine and am trying to find out more about them.
It says they were replaced by the 2D with the Leyland 4/98 engines. not found out too much about the detachable back actor yet.
If I get a better look at it or even buy it, I will keep you posted.

Yes I think that second pic is a 2b , as far as I know the 2d's had a side and indicator light in one rectangle unit and a white cab, they also had a four cylinder engine. That said there are guys on here that know far more than me!
if it has the PTO it would be worth trying to get hold of. I'm sure the 2d's have a removable back actor, the other guys will know. what issue of classic plant is that ? Cheers Christopher
