Torque converter

Post #1 by Mallinman » Thu Sep 25, 2014 11:21 am

Hi all
Quick question
How do I check the oil level in my torque converter and what grade oil is it.
It's on a 1982, white cab 3cx, 2wd. Perkins engine.

Many thanks in advance

Oliver

Engine running at tick over and dip. I have only ever used atf and had no problems.Others say only use JCB special fluid.Likely the same thing.

The dipstick is beside the battery.RHS.Top up through the dip stick tube.If required, pour the oil in slowly or it will gurgle back out.The system doesn't hold much oil and if you happen to overfill,it'll soon blow it out!
