I looks like the early JCB Major loader on the front but it is not the really early backhoe.

Its is first version of hydra-digger with a tubular rather then square section boom as the latter versions. This type of machine was built from 1956. It is fitted with a Major loader because the loadall loader was not available until the second version in late 1957 The hydra -digger was also available without a loader as were the mk1
