powertrain 3c hard to select gears
powertrain 3c hard to select gears
Hi, my powertrain 3c is giving me a little trouble. I find it hard to select gears wen at a standstill, I cant find the neutral position on the colomn very easily as the cable is a bit stiff but it tends to be be more towards three quarters down as opposed to half way exactly between fwd/rev. The only way u can select gears is to hold the dump pedal down, hold a good bit of weight against the gearlever and then cycle the shuttle lever back and forward until it jumps in to gear. Does anyone know of any adjustment to be able to get it to slip into gear easier??

Ok so can you select the gears reasonably easily when stationary with engine switched off? (You may not get every gear easily in that situation).

Hi essexpete, yes all gears seem reasonable once turned off, just wen its running its almost like the gearbox os still turning everytime you try to select a gear and ramming it in is the only way!!!

Well it seems you must be getting some kind of drag by the clutches not coming out properly. Does it make any difference if you shuttle to neutral or if you use the dump pedal?
