Dowty Rotary Actuator - PARTS REQUIRED

Post #1 by Steelfab » Fri May 23, 2014 1:27 am

Does anyone have any replacement parts or the Dowty Rotary actuators used on Steelfab, Inchgreen, Massey backhoe loaders. Need the replacement seals and rotary shaft?

Julian the seals could easily be made, you could try Tony Flint he may be able to help you out, contact me and I'll put you in touch with him.

Jeremy I am not sure that internal seals on the actuator paddle would be easily made?

I have the internal o rings but it is the rectangular ones which are needed. I do have some new old stock, but they are cracked due to age. If I cannot find any new ones I will get new ones made using the new perished ones I have

I the actuator it the same as the MF40 /50 you could try P V Dobsons they are massey dealers and hold quite a bit of stock for older masseys if they havent got the seals they can more than likely source them for you

Sorry Jeremy but it is 30+ years since I had the one on our 220 digger apart. Then you still source them from the MF agent. ('kin expensive even then if IIRR)
