Hello,
I have a 4 in 1 loader with forks on the front. However, the round bar that runs through the forks took some serious abuse recently
It bent so bad that the fork won't slide along it now
If I knew a good smithy (I wish I did) then I'd be up there asking him to get the torch on it.
However, I have a local steel stock holder, here comes the question?...
Can I get away with using mild steel to replace the round bar or is it (does it need to be) a better grade than mild???
Cheerz,
Yozza

Probably would need to replace bar with at least bright bar or get a piece of en8 which a lot of bucket pins would be made from. Black bar would be too soft.

i bent the bar once, got it in the 4 in 1. took the bar off and think we straightened it in one of those press things with a ram and a hand operated lever. give it a go.
