Its almost too easy for forget how long production spans for a particular model was back then compared to the rate new models are introduced these days! Enough to make my head spin really.

That would explain why some of the youtube videos were showing 50B machines with black cabs, and others with yellow ones. So the black cabs were originally for the Mk1 version of the 50B and the yellow ones for the Mk2.

I do have some brochures for the MF line, but the collection is far from complete!

Cracking stuff!

Best regards

Here's a photo of one of Bradshaw plant hire's machines from the 1970's,
Did these only have one door to get in the cab.....on the offside? seems unusual :eh:

Nice picture there widget, all of the older machines were so much more individual looking compared to today's machines, yes the massey's for some reason all had there doors on the right which i could never wok out as JCB's had there doors on the left just to be different i suppose unless it had something to do with the export market.

Did it cause problems with the front loader controls which i am assuming would have been mounted on the right, (all MF machines which I have operated have been on the right)

No the loader controls are all on the left on the older MF machines, when i sold my 3C mk2 and got my current MF40 it took a few weeks to get used to the levers being on the left.

That would bugger me ..... the only thing I have ever operated with the controls on the left was a flail hedgecutter on a Ford 8100 back in the 80's.

I found it hard going from MF four lever to JCB 2 on the back hoe then even harder on the first mini excavator I had a go on with ISO. That made this amateur look like a total beginner.
