Auto idle on the 3cx range is long overdue! I think we will be seeing it soon on production machines along with electronic foot throttle ;) lets just hope it's kept simple!

I have a reasonable list of 'fixes' they need to sort out before messing with things like this though...

I think they need to sort out the headlights the ones on mine are awful if driving at night because when you put the full beam on the dipped beam goes out not sure if the newer type lights are better doesn't help my machine has the pallet forks stowed at the outer edge of the bucket so the lights shine on the forks

Ducks have the axle suspension locks to provide a solid working platform, (although they'll still tip in certain circumstances). 180deg machines have the front bucket to stabilise the front end so in my mind, a suspension lock wouldn't serve any purpose?

Does seem that JCB need to get what they're doing already right, without adding further complications! Give me a 3C mk3 Powertrain anyday, I loved that machine!

Have you ever moved any thing heavy with the front pallet toes?
The machine is becomes tippy, especially across a slope or with a full icb container

Surely if you keep the load at minimum height to just clear the ground your are not raising the centre of gravity of the machine much and as such very unlikely to tip it. Have you seen the dancing diggers routines for how far a jcb can lean over before it falls?

If this is the situation you feel locking the front axle pivot would help then I think it would actually make matters worse. The axle pivot actually takes out some undulations in the ground which would make tipping more likely. Unless you had full hyraulically adjustable suspension on both axles to level the entire machine across a side slope I can see any advantage.
