Problem with 6 in 1 bucket

Post #1 by grant » Sat Jan 15, 2011 4:10 pm

Hi the 6 in 1 bucket on my p21 3cx has developed a problem when you open the clam it is as it should be the problem is when you close it it's very slow could there be an air lock?it's very annoying as when you grab material with it because the crowd and clam don't close together just wondered if anyone on here has an idea as to what it could be thanks

I would check oil levels, any damage to pipework or bucket ? operating lever ? may not be lifting the spool valve enough to let oil flow

Not sure on a 3CX,if you can get access to the valveblock to see if there is a linkage problem or something stopping the full travel of the valve.I had a similar problem on my Drott,it was caused by a loose lever pivot bolt.

Take the rubber turret cover off ,and with a torch have a look in at the rods etc to see if something is a miss ,i had one of the ball joints come loose just needed to tighten the nut back up
