MF 40 was the second machine I got to have a go on. I had used our old 203/720/220 at home but the farm I worked on before college had a revers-o-matic 40 with a 4in1. What a little flyer after our old model. I do remember the 1st drive being disconcerting i think the hand throttle was slightly open so that when forward was pressed it jumped off at an alarming rate so I took foot off and of course it stops so pressed down again to a series of bouncing hops. I did manage to bend the dipper ram when lifting out of some real sh1t one day well and truly stuck.
