Kobelko LK400 how to find parts

Post #1 by Andy80 » Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:57 am

I have just received a slightly unusual wheel loader. It is Japanese and is called the Kobelco LK400.
I have not seen this model before. Most things seem to work on it. But the drive belts in the engine slip and need to be replaced. Anyone know where I can buy these belts?

Hi Andy :wave: nice loader, I would take the old belts off and measure them and have a loook see if there is a local belts, bearings, drives supplier, even an internet one, cheaper than OEM.

If you are lucky, somewhere alone the top surface of the belts will be the size moulded into the rubber.
Often the size is printed on and becomes unreadable with age.
Either way, they will be an off-the-shelf part available (as above) from and decent belt stockist.

If you measure the width at the top, you'll be able to determine if it's an A or B section belt:
A = 13mm
B = 17mm

Given the small pulley on the alternator, one of the "cog" style (pseudo toothed) belt will improve the life span due to improved flexibility.

Thanks for your answers. I will remove the belts today and take them to the lokal belt stockist :thumbup:
