Yes the wire might be shorting to the frame somewhere. Looking good.
BTW if you are shifting old road scalping that has stood for a long while (and you have the time) break them out with the back hoe.

Re: 1988 JCB 3xc 4WD Grey Cab
Any one know what might course this problem
When using full power the engine is starved of fuel and starts to stop unless I pull foot off the pedal.
Yes I have changed fuel filter and cleaned all relevant components.

Definitely pencil filter in banjo bolt on pump. You will have done the lift pump gauze I'm sure

Had a look and opened where the filter should be but no filter.
The lift pump on her is one that can’t be opens but there is a filter on the inlet. The pump dose seam to be pumping at the first few strokes but then goes flat?? Is this suspicious.

Hi yes there is a sediment bowl and Iv removed and cleaned it. At first I was hoping that was all that was starving her of fuel but its something els.
Even blown air back in to the tank incase something was blocking the fuel but it runs out constant.

Are you absolutely certain there is no filter in the inlet end of the inj pump. Just in case you're not familiar with them, you can only see the top rim of it in the hole. Needs picking out with a hooked end on a piece of wire or similar(very carefully so as not to pull up the valve body it sits around).
Can you plumb in a drum of fuel and set it on the bonnet temporarily just to give a gravity feed and bypass the lift pump etc?
