cheers everybody i pulled the hydraulic filter today and it was buggered (full of bits of dirt and black sludge) so i am currently waiting for a new one to arrive should be in during the coming week,so i will post the outcome when the new filters fitted and fingers crossed that fixes the problem

If you don't know the history, it could be worth draining off samples of oil from the hydraulics and the gearbox/axle. I got an unbelievable amount of water and emulsion from mine. But that's north west Tasmania...
