I made a mistake once :roll: .........I rebuilt that little stirling box but she wouldn't drop :? .............so my mate stood in the back jumping up and down to tease her into falling :shock: ................just as well I looked over my shoulder when I did the muck had pinned him to the tailgate! :o Fotunatley I stopped before I broke his legs!!!!!!!!! :oops: :oops: :oops: :doh:

Moving scrapers from site to site by road was the "way it was done" in the 60s and early 70s. Prior to 1963 the TS24 was probably the biggest scraper in use, having an air activated power shift and brakes one had to be careful not to exhaust the air supply otherwise you were stuck in gear. We regularly moved DW21s by road for Blackwell, this was pre M6 days so generally on single carriageway roads. We also ferried 3 TS14s from Blackwood Hodge yard in Northampton to Belgium (1962), any of the boys around from that time.
