Hi, i took these photos whilst on break in our low loader just north of Silverstone on the A43 last year, the guys had already moved a couple i think, i think they said there were 4 parked up, i have seen them years ago whilst around Didcot. They had to pull in due to a hanging/spraying diesel pipe giving everything a good coat! Im sure they said they were off to the infamous gas torch unless somebody knows different?
Cheers John

Its called privatization and mis-management not that us Brits have been much good at management we appear to blunder our way through life.

Hi
It is not ' privatization or miss-management ' I am afraid, Firstly these TS24's have been replaced with Cat 637G's and E's although there are one or two 24's left on site with a couple of D9's an R and a T. Secondly the power station closes in March '13 and until then is flat out with all machines running, and the reason for closure is a European directive that states all large emission power stations must close by 2015 or when a specified number of hours are used up.

yes there are plenty of things that could go in there and make power at no cost
that muppet with the hook would have gone in rather than costing us a fortune

Slightly off topic - but as well as being a plant enthusiast - I'm also an amateur beekeeper - there's an EU directive which now prohibits the re-use of honey jars - I found out because it also applies to Womens Institute groups who make jam and re-use old jars. Whats the carbon footprint in re-melting once used jars!! The EU needs outing!!!
