I asked a welder who worked at Dick Hampton's and he told me the man himself passed away a while ago whilst abroad.i wonder just how many machines he had his name on over the years. Tim

Hi graham -From what i can make out Dick Hampton sold out to Cementation around the late 60's and Cementation sold to Seymours in the 70's.The welder i know started there in 74 when it belonged to Seymours but the earthmoving side was declining. He told me as the contracts were finishing the plant was brought back to the yard, spruced up and a lot went abroad. There were some contracts still going on and he remembers going to the M11 and the A303 in Somerset. Tim .

Hi all,

Graham mentioned Bentley in his posting, it rang a bell with me as the place where a company called Moores were based, I can recall seeing there Moxy dumptrucks about around Hampshire UK when I was younger, anyone on the board know what happened to them as well?? ;)
