Re: K Tech 1254 ADT scraper combination
saw this in plant mag today.I suppose it's good on a big job that.s flat but I rather have the versitillity of a traditional motorscraper.Cat's stopped making 666's for a reason and stuck with the overhung 657's etc.
Mabee it's cheaper?

Re: K Tech 1254 ADT scraper combination
I saw one at work a friend's emplower is trying out right now. Its not a Ktec unit. Im not to get pics deppending on how tests go. He has a supply of Dump trucks but few scrapers. Its supposed to be an LGP unit but so far the bidirectional tires arent doing good. He has a set of float tires with a Chevron pattern comming right now. The problem they are having are they are breaking traction and they are a bit hard to see.
I have them convinced to use a drawbar unit and put a hitch on the back of the truck and weight the box or frame down with ballast.
