hello to all
spoke with cliff daily about this job a while back, his d9r was supposed to be going in to push the scrapers but it broke down in the yard.he reckons finning spent a week at £60 per hour chasing the wrong problem with the fuel injection system.turns out the torque was shot.
Nice to see Becher getting some work.dont think hes had alot this year.
as for fuel,my d8 is running about 350 litres a day (9 hr shift)Its just slot dozing sand over the high wall in bottom gear all day.

Hi Nicky, glad to see your keeping busy, yes i hope cliffs got a deep pocket,
i was speaking to the fitter that finaly sussed it out,i think the tractor run okay on
tickover, but the minute it had a few revs the torque dragged the engine down making
it look like fuel pump or injector trouble, and the D9R,s have to be raised 12" off the
ground to allow the torque to come out, :o

Perhaps the Link club could put a compilation muckshifting DVD together as I am pretty sure that there is a demand for it.
