Retirement

Post #1 by Robert Guy » Sun Jan 17, 2010 12:15 pm

Hi all ,
Found this old girl at Tilbury power station in Essex.
Looks like a couple of new Cat 637's have taken over but can't take any pic's of them i'm afraid as i was told it's against the law :dizzy:
So remove those hats and pay respect for the hard work she has done.
Rest In Pieces
Hope you all enjoy the pic's :)

Sorry Martyn should have been a bit clearer about not taking pic's
It's because of the antiterrorist laws  But i'm going to go on a secret covert operation :shifty:

There's an old dozer still working there. Can't really see it but if i can get close enough i can get some pics . Looking at the out line i think its a old terex so as soon as i get them i'll post them.

Strange to see the paint around the bottom of the bowl unmarked. I take it she was painted up and up for sale at a time? Great pictures by the way, thanks for posting.

Nice older machines. I like anything thats green, no matter the condition. What is the ultimate fate for these? Hopefully not the torch :(
