Thanks for posting additional photographs.

I've got the brochure for these somewhere. The last one I saw was in sand pit in Lanrkshire about five years ago.

Dave.

Leech Homebuilders of NE England had one of these machines and I seen it regularly at work on the numerous large house building sites in the early 70`s. Sometimes it worked alongside the Leech owned D7E and what a comparison to engine speed....the IH DT-361 used in their E-200 to rev extremely fast and hard compared to the plod of the 4 cyl D7. The positives were its extremely fast load rate and ability to attain a good road speed between jobs on the UK Highways.

Incidently, where are those two machines located? My thinking is that any old large IH Construction Machine sighting here in the UK is a great find and they are great photos for that very reason!! Great stuff!

In the late 60's/early 70's a top soil supplier from around Glasgow way had two of these, one larger than the other. I remember them working near Stirling.

There was also a Michigan elevating scraper worked on the widening of the M80 in the early 70's. The only one I have ever seen.
