Thanks for that Nick, I've got some old photos of the 82-30 working, I'll try & work out how to post them. I did recently see a Terex tractor sitting in a field over in the forest of dean. I'm wondering if that might have been the one. I'd like to go over with the camera & try & find where to get permission to go in & take a few pictures of it.

You mention working along side an 82-40, we had one of those too, it had a single ram hydraulic blade on it. Sadly i never got to work on the same job as it & have no pictures of it.

The one I worked next to had a V8 detroit in it,same as the TS24B.I loved the noise!

Hi Nick,That's not a V8 Detroit I am afraid.It's probably a Cummins.The 2 stroke Detroit has a unique sound all of it's own.It's very high reving ear killer!

I would never confees to being an expert on this type of kit :dizzy: I think it's probably quite evident here on CMN that I am really only an excavator man myself :lol: :lol:

Perhaps you could find a clip with the V8 Detroit on it :?: :?:
