This site is pretty cool - lots of kit coming into the UK for opencast etc, including parts for Big Geordie:

It amazes me to imagine what people must have thought when parts for Big Geordie started arriving!

Its still massive by today's standards, however, can you imagine the talk in the yard when that bucket lip and the sheaves arrived (when a big machine of the time was a 2400 or 150b)!
