Beck & Pollitzer vehicles

Post #1 by BPollitzer » Mon Apr 29, 2013 10:19 am

Hi there

I am trying to put together a list of all the remaining Beck & Pollitzer vehicles that are in existence outside the Company. I'm particulalry interested in any pre-1960's scammells / Albions or ERF's

If anyone knows of any in existence can you let me know as I'm trying to pull some together for our 150th anniversary.

Thanks
Richard

Don't know if he's still with us but if he is Charles Oliver who was with BP post war and still there in the late 60s would be the man to ask, He lives/lived in Gravesend.
There was a thread on this forum a while back, started by a guy who had found and bought the remains of this old Scammell. The post was by oldmanjim5 in Oct 2010. My pic would have been taken in the Burnam Road yard in the late 60s.

Hi Thanks for the info

I've been in contact with James who owns the scammel and he has kindly offered to bring it into our burnham road yard for our anniversary next month. We are also hoping to bring the ex B&P Foden steam wagon down as well.

I believe Charles Oliver will be coming down as well so I will take the oppoutunity to pick his brains about any other vehicles he knows about.

Hi Steve
14th June is the planned date. Timings are a little up in the air at the moment as it depends on press interest. feel free to email me at richard.taylor@beck-pollitzer.com for more details nearer the time.

Does anyone know if the 150th anniversary gathering is going to happen and if so the date?
If it is are ex-employees welcome?
