hello fred,
i must say that you have computer capacity brain,i remember bonds and as you rightly said when the coal board went quiet they went over to robert bailey,i seem to remember a chap by the name of alan james and another man by the name of bill nash working for bonds,do the names ring a bell.

Thank you Fred! I think I was on the Tarmac Michaeldean site about 74. It was a water treatment plant with an underground reservoir.

HI Graham,
Allan James was an Ex. Bowmaker fitter who started on the spanners with E.A.Bond and ended up running the show, He stayed with Howard Bond after Cardiff Plant took over and ran Bonds new company. I think he had an interest in it, he was still with them for a while after Robert Baily took them over.
Bill nash was opperating a 951 on long term hire at Oakdale Colliery when I worked for Bonds.
He is Keith Thomas's Right hand man now at K J Plant. I was talking to him at the Link Club A.G.M at Barry Cossletts place last year.

nice photo of johnnie daw,s volvo,and also the crane freuhauf trailer,barry had a trailer identical to that one,absolutley bombproof.
