Hi folks im back again with some more top pics
heres a few pics when allsop plant with there fh16 double drive unit recovered heanor haulages fh16 eight wheeler on hard shoulder on M1 near Jc27 we had to tow heanors unit all the way down the hard shoulder to trowell services lost count on how many cones i had to move because the hard shoulder was coned off do to widening all i can remeber its a good 2mile walk and a fh16 on my back then after we towed the unit to trowell services we had to turn round and recover heanors lowloader trailer and return it back to there yard couldnt help but take some pics

That extra front bogie (I'm sure there's a proper name for it) must make it very hard to reverse

What do you reckon aussiemf ,it might be legal with the TD9B on the back of it.Out of interest spike ,Whats its legal carrying capacity ?.ian.

Don't know what they call it now but used to be known as a Jeep Dolly - don't ask me why!
Also way back when I was in the transport game they were illegal under the Construction and Use Regulations because the authorities counted them as a trailer and you were only allowed to pull one trailer!
Another querk in those days was that one could carry a 22RB with the jib sticking out over the back of the trailer or over the unit's cab but if you broke it down and carried the removed section or the bucket on the low loader with the machine, that was also illegal - because it was no longer an indivisible load!
Do today's heavy hauliers have to cope with similar daft regulations?

the set up in the pictures would allow you to carry 110ton

they call it a double dolly mostly king trailers have these when they dont have rear steer axle it make it a bet easy drag not
