Hello,

They had the nickname of a "Gravy Boat" and were used to supply the "Concrete Trains" as they were known that formed motorways and airfield runway constructions.

Remember in the early 90s being on a job laying a new runway at RAF Waddington with a batching plant and concrete train , the train was supplied by a big fleet of Guy 6x4's with side tipping concrete skip bodies . Guys had long since disappeared from the roads by then , wish I'd took some photos :doh:

Found this and it has mid mounted stabilisers. Not the best place to stand though!
