Nice pics Steve I wonder what make of what appears to be an early hydraulic 360 is loading the Guy Warrior?

Hi Jeremy,
That's a Blaw-Knox Hydra-Scoop, half hydraulic and half rope. They were based on the B-K50 rope excavator.
Company I worked for in the 60s had one, together with the all rope navy versions which I worked on . They were fitted with Perkins P6 engines.

Thanks Fred that Hydra-Scoop is a weird contraption I guess that's why they never took off.

I was about to add 'I think they had some curious rubber suspension', but probably best left.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.
