The 180 recovery looks like a MF 50B, I did not realise that model was available 4wd.

Love to know the series of events that caused the Massey to keel over.
For the wheeled dozer in the first pic I'm going take a guess with Hanomag.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Another heavy load that turned up at the unit next door to where I work today; sadly there was a hold up with the lift and it was still on the trailer when I left work, the load which is a Rolls Royce Bergen engine was being loaded onto skates to enable a Versalift fork truck to push it into the works unit next door.

Pete I'm not sure I think some are used in large industrial plants and the like for power generation purposes.

I was thinking of hanging around to watch the lump being unloaded and perhaps if the weather conditions had been better I may have, however I spoke to the chap who runs the unit next door and he informed me that after all the messing around trying to obtain the correct lifting shackles, once they had been got the crane broke down so it was after 6:30 by the time they finally got the load lifted.

I asked him what these engines were used for and besides being power generation units they have a wide marine application as well with some Navy and container ships having four or five of these lumps aboard.
