That photo of the Neil-Unit crane has made my day!

I find that interesting as well, also for another reason, that it is very close to M62 Junction 27 before the M62 was built.

Nice pics again Steve-a chap that comes in our place has driven 8w tippers for over 30 years,drove a Magirus 232 years ago and reckons it's the best 8 wheeler off road ever made.He reckoned he'd been axle deep a few times but the 232 came out on her own every time :thumbs_up: Tim

More Scammells tomorrow Col.Do you remember J & S Parr from Reading or SL (Sedate Lord)Haulage from Bramley that used to run Maggie Deutz tippers ?

HI Col John Stacey had at least 2 Magirus bonneted 6 wheel dumptrucks in the early 80's,i saw them working at the new Sainsbury's at Burpham nr Guildford along with an O&K RH5 360 excavator :thumbs_up: Tim
