Hi Steve The Henry Streeter Dodge(or Dodges) were 6 wheelers with 2nd steers added by Primrose Third Axle company, but from 1972 Dodge did offer factoy built 8's at 24,26 or 28 tons gross depending on wheelbase.Apparently most that were built were 28 ton versions and i would say that is a 28 ton factory built 8 wheeler in your picture. :thumbs_up: Tim

i was chatting to the old boy (72) at work who does all the mains testing ,he saw my classic plant mag and was chatting about plant when he says i used to work for dick hampton :o sadly he has no photos ,but i hope to have another chat with him before he retires for good in jan

I don't know about you but I always love to have a chat with old plant men from years gone by, some of the tales they come out with are priceless!!

It also makes you realise just how lucky we are today :shock:
