There's a whole mess of wrongness going on here. Anyone want to take a guess?

Nice one eh, another example of some fine engineering
The engine and chassis are MAN, I believe from the F8 type, and the "cab" started live as a Ford Granada..? The front end seems to come of a Transit van..?
Although it's a bit odd looking, to put it mildly, I must admit that I'm curious about the handlings, I reckon it's got some simularities driving a bus..?

Patrick I guess with a steam powered truck in Russia you wouldnt need a heater to stay warm

Rob that looks like a big truck has run the back of little station wagon or maybe they are making love and got stuck what ever the deal is it sure looks different

Yes the front grill did remind me of the Tranny front grill, the body more like a Volvo car?

As I understand it, MAN chassis, Granada bodywork, Merc 307 grille. Why they didn't just keep the Ford front end - unless some length had to be lost perhaps?
I wonder what the staff at the test centre thought when that turned through the gate!

Those russians are interesting. I wonder what the unladen weight of the steam truck was?
As for the others, I would say the first Kamaz has some Merc in it, the next has a Deutz style badge but looks very Volvo. On the next Kamaz the cab sides have the sweep of a Scania. The blue truck Unic / Fiat. The yellow trucks are similar to Titans and one of them is rhd.

Don't know if that outfit was used for a longer amount of time, but I've found a pic doing that same work, but with a Merc tractor... Maybe the Granada driver was fed up with things..?

Can't tell you more about those russians, nicely spotted though that one of the yellow 8 leggers is a RHD, didn't noticed that myself at first...

Well, I can imagine that the driver wanted to stay warm by all means whilst driving through Siberia with minus 60C :wtf: ;)
