Thanks Fred  yes Ruttle are a very large concern I have been up to their yard near Chorley Lancs, they bought and restored two Hymac 580C excavators, the one in your picture is the second of these, both machines came from a company called Huntapac Foods, here is the first of those restored Hymacs.

Didn't they had some Mack's in the fleet as well back in the day?

Yes I think they may have run at least one Mack at an earlier era of the Company.

Took some proper "investigation" but I've finally found some footage of the Mack they once had, along with a Kenworth apparently (courtesy of D.Tomlin). I always thought there was another yank brand in the fleet as well, could that have been a White perchance?

Cheers, Patrick

Patrick I have definitely seen the lower photograph before when I saw it I instantly remembered it; it is in a book called Heavy Haulage vol? and I have forgotten the author, must look it up as I have two of the volumes on my shelf. It would not surprise me if they had run a White as well, I'll try and look up a few photos I took in their yard.
