Scammell S24

Scammell S24 new to Ward Bros of Durham spent around 15 years on lowloader work.

it got sold off and ended up as a tipper in an opencast mine!

replaced by an f10 80tonner, first of several volvo's, malcolm's currently running round in an FH16-620, we ran our scania 164-620 back to back with 45ton machines on, the volvo had the edge on the banks, but the scania had the legs on the rest.

The S24 is back with Ward's and is currently being restored, last i heard it's not far off being done

Nice pic Tim :thumbs_up: glad to hear its being restored we seam to scrap so much of our heritage, would be nice to see a pic of it restored if anybody gets the chance.
