I know of a very tidy D4D 44H for sale near Rochdale.
The running gear is 90%, engine good, and is complete with linkage, spool valves and cab complete with glass, but aparantly some surface rust.
If anyone is interested, I can supply contact details.
The owner is emigrating to Spain.

Re: Cat D4D 44H
Where does the 44H fit in to the serial no. range?
I looked in the book here and the only ref. to D4D SAs are '66>'68 20J, '66 84J. Surely they carried on making them till '78
As I understand there is also a 60J series - made in france (Grenoble?)

The bulldozer blade serial nos where ether 96E1 up or 93C1 up or 45J1 up depending what blade was ordered so I expect 44h could be the blade no

Re: Cat D4D 44H
This wouldn't happen to be the machine would it John ? I brought the machine back in May it's an excerlent machine really tidy apart from the rust but nothing a bit of paint won't sort out.
The machine is a D4D 44H1648 special application tractor it has only got 820hrs on the clock.
The last few pics are of it doing a bit of work in Rudgwick towing a Leverton cultivator and some Ransom discs

Hi Robert, To be honest I never saw the machine in question, it was a fellow ACMOC member who contacted me, I believe he was in Rochdale, or somewhere in that area, so if your machine came from that area there's a good chance it's the same one. It looks a very tidy machine, and low hours, a good find !!
