Really enjoyed that. The Ainscough Show.

Brought back many memories of somewhat similar jbex if on a slightly smaller scale.

Very uplifting!

Good show, much better than those Eddy Stobart ones. But, they should give those hard working boys money for a proper rest up in hotels, tight gits. Those guys deserve it
I am also enjoying the railway documentary on Thursday nights.

I got the impression they did get their lodge when away from the depot, but they choose to sleep in the vans to save it. Maybe I'm wrong.

They don't pay it while working at the depot no matter where they live. That makes sense.

I agree that this is far better then the Stobart fiasco. I only watch that occasionally to 'ave a laugh' at what a set of woosies they are. I don't think one of them could have done the job 50 years ago, when it really was hard.

Ropes and sheets, crash gearboxes, vacuum brakes, no power steering, not much cab heating if any, no sleeper-cabs, flat mirrors, hand-ball, less than 200hp and lousy roads.

They were the days!

Its great to see the banter of those crane boys, the Stobart boys are more concerned with looking good and signing autographs :dizzy:
They are only lorry drivers  The train trivers that I work with work some awfull hours but are on double the lorry drivers wages, then again one train equals 60 artic loads and moved in one go. The kings of the road drivers are the heavy haul boys and the lowloader drivers
Those guys on " Hell drivers " were something else

I enjoyed it too tristam! And I'm not even a crane fan really! Those two riggers (who's nickname eludes me) were brilliant!
