Heres a photograph from our works in the 1980's.
It shows a Mobilift loading a narrowboat which was manufactured at our site, onto the companies Plant hire division lowloader.
I have been told that the Mobilift cranes were assembled in the furthest building you can see in the photograph by the South African company which rented the building from us at the time. Apparently Mobilift did not do aswell here as in other regions of the world and eventually ceased to operate in the UK.
Any of you guys have any dealings with these bits of kit? A few of the guys I work with have told me stories about them, but I wont repeat what they said
