Hi Folks,

These shots were taken on my camera today by my friend Helena, there are some very interesting bits of kit in this particular yard in Bilston among them this 22RB, two Hymac 580C's and a Neal crane which I will try and get some pics of.

Not sure just how old this one is, but yet another coupe of pics from the Isle of Wight, this time taken from a river taxi on the river Medina.

Image

A Ruston-Bucyrus 61-RB with high-view cab and large clamshell. According to the pilot, its a grain terminal with about a dozen silver silo's. I never saw the crane working but here's another shot with the 1864gt Hertfordshire cargo ship, the 61-RB crane behind it, and to the right, a Bobcat 863 Turbo skid steer.

Image

Oddly enough, this same ship was anchored at Sunderland when I returned to Newcastle from my 5-day break down south...

Anyone know the production dates of the 61-RB? It looks pretty well looked after to say the least, no idea what capacity the clamshell has; or if the operational weight of the crane differs much with the high-view cab and such.
Look out that window, Eden isn't burning. Its burnt.

Unusual tracks for a crawler crane, more like triple grouser excavator pads? Nice pictures though :)

The track plates on the machines in Europe seem to be fitted with this type of plate.I wonder why?
I love the RB machines, was lucky to work on 10 and 22's.Great design, very sturdy and lasted well.Would like to own one one day  The photo from Davide looks to be a late"super crane" RB variant.
