Super pictures, I'm pretty sure Gaz was driving the rigging crane for the 1800.

That scania 142 is fantastic. Wish I had one!!!

Wonderful pictures of an interesting event.I know that the very facts that we subscribe to and browse this forum means that we are "not a normal cross section of society" but I feel that it such a shame that local, national press and TV don't give more informed coverage of engineering achievements such as this and the job done at London Bridge a few months back when a huge new bridge was "walked" into place over one weekend using multiple sets of jacking legs and powered axles.
Suppose the answer is that there is seen to be no value in such things to advertisers but it's about time we started shouting about our engineering and civil engineering achievements.
Rant over!!!

Great topic. I was not on this Job jack, it did a lot with the LTM1800 in the park over the years but this was one of the ones I did not do.

Tim, you anything to do with Birmingham new street stn, I know Danny Tyson was up there the weekend and I work Sarens now, will be on a crane there over Christmas for Mabey bridge.
