Nice pictures there nrm2 who owns those Favco machines then, i did not know of any in the UK are they London Lifting. It looks like i need to get back up to London as a few big jobs are underway there. Roll on the good times again!!!

Interesting i will have to find out if they are Bennets cranes they have certainly upgraded their fleet since i last got on one of their old BPR GT217s a few years back!

You don't tend to see many Favco's over here, where as there are loads of them abroad. Now that luffers are the norm here, i wonder if we shall see more. Any reason why the favco's have taken time to filter through to the uk?

Any one got any pictures of the old Babcock cranes you used to see every where 30 years ago? I think the cabs were built into the tower above the slew ring but quite a way under the jib. They would be the same era as the Potain 646 that had the front of the cab opening to gain access.

I managed to pick up an original Babcock tower crane brochure a few weeks back the last one of those i saw working was back in the early 90's in Dawlish. Potain 646 Now you are talking Falcons had a few of them up to 5 years ago.

Super shots Mate, Would love the Job of dimantling Tower cranes. That LTM is one of 11 that Ainscough own, yes 11. :lol:

A few of the Terex Comedil's being used to construct the Shard of Glass in London. This has a selection of 6 cranes including one that is climbing with the concrete core. I will add the core is at level 33 currently and the overall height of this building is 82 floors so has some way to go even though it is looking pretty high now.
