More great pictures Neil, i must get up to town and take a few myself, there are a few more cranes begining to appear again but it's gonna be a long time before it was like it was 6 - 7 years ago. If anyone is interested in models of tower cranes have a look at www.cranesdiggersanddozers there are a few nice models on their.

I may as well use this opportunity to post some pics of model tower crane I have built. It is based on an old wolffkran EC600 in 1:50 scale. Took me about 2 years to build on and off. I am now working on an old wolff 280B

(ignore the socks on the line  )

That is one nice model Neil, i have the Ramondi LR60 luffer which was build by a chap in Italy, i did have one of the very rare motorised Bourbon Potain topkits still in it box in kit form with all the motors but had a very good offer on it. My mate also has a handbuilt Liebherr that came from a German modelmaker a few years back. Are you a reds man by any chance then.

No im not I work in the management side of construction but have always liked the wolffs. When I was young and loved anything construction there were a few large sites I followed, all that had Wolffs on them so I guess thats why i've started off making them. I actually own that Potain model as well although it needs a bit of TLC. Its missing some of the parts but still has the motors.

:claphands: Some cracking crane photos there Neil & like the model.

Plenty of Wolfkrane's still stacked up in HTC's yard by the M1 and the overflow one they had to add since 95% of the tower cranes in the country came down to store them all.

Good to see a few going up again even if it is only down in London at the moment.

Great pictures Neil, i still havent had time to get up to town and get some pics myself, But i have noticed a few more cranes going up here and there but the the job situation is still dire on them. The rates are riduculously low for such a responsible and dangerous job it is a total joke and an insult now! Rant over, Looks like one of Falcons Jaso machines in Brum.
