Regrettably no. I was told it succumbed about 18 months ago when the price of scrap was at an all time high. It would never have run again, the boom was in very rusty condition the last time I saw it which was about 10 years ago and engine parts and the PTO and pump had been removed to keep the owners 300T tele going.

Craig,
I think the crane chassis was Hydrocons own. It was very meaty with leg boxes of course. Only manual legs. She had a Leyland 680 power plus engine. My Hydrocon Clansman which is about the same vintage has Leyland running gear engine etc although it was possibly Albion based after Leyland took over Albions.

Is that your Hydrocon Clansman that is on quay at Douglas ? just returned from IOM and the Clansman is on quayside with a Smith Crawler crane that appears to be working .

It's a Hydrocon Highlander. Note the (dangerous) use without outriggers. Also whilst it's difficult to be certain it looks like it has the manual crane for lifting the jib sections on and off.

I think this is a Hydrocon but no idea of model. Seen a few years ago in a fenland location.

If its a single rear axle its a Hydrocon Marksman. If its a double rear axle its a Hydrocon Clansman. Its got the Admiralty second cab. It's carrying a '79 registration which is about right and a non standard Drivers seat.

Sounds like you know your Hydrocon's
Lifting without outriggers - not recommended but can't imagine that old 30's car weighs much .
